This time, redactor introduced a more lyrical and bluesy face of Anthony, with relatively little popular solo album by this artist. This was born forty years ago in Toronto (the son of a Portuguese and kayaks), guitarist, singer and songwriter performs modern blues-rock with elements of soul and R & B. His adventure with music started on the occasion of 14th birthday, he got a gift acoustic guitar. Soon came a fascination with blues and Anthony decided that he will move to Chicago to be able to live in contact with the music of their idols. IDEM had the opportunity as a sideman playing with the Magic Slim. In 1998 he moved to Nashville, to - as he said - learn to compose. In the same year he recorded his first album "Blues In Technicolor", which showed up in the industry as an extremely talented and respected instrumentalist, and a great composer. Subsequent publications (list below) strengthened the position of Gomes, and many awards (including Blues Artist of the Year 2003) confirmed his music class. For over 12 years of his musical career Anthony has performed in several countries, played with many stars to mention only a BB King, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, or George Thorogood. Currently, as we know, is the leader of a typical power trio New Soul Cowboys, who describe their music as "Outlaw Rock 'N' Roll", and he quite eloquently Anthony Gomes defines himself as a musician: "It's high noon and I've got my six string to my side. I've been Baptized by the blues and saved by Rock 'N' Roll. "

It is a pity that our native connoisseurs consider the artist through the prism of one album, which may not be an outstanding production, but it will always remain unattainable for most of the national pattern of mediocrities, which for these same experts are worshiped like a mythological gods. Maybe if Gomes had heard the earlier albums, it does not throw up in their criticism of him like a ravenous boar on a full trough. But what .... Mr. J. - left-handed specialist Anthony SRV did not consider in his work life, because apparently decided that he is unworthy of this honor, so who in America had heard of him before. Surprising are the proportions in the evaluation of music by some of the so-called Polish. critics. If some of the old blues "from the castle of the dragon that is not enough that he can neither sing nor play, is still haunted by the homeless and clothing the scene itself has the audacity to call himself a bluesman, known as "music" and yet it is one which "has 12 cycles in one finger," and really appreciated and recognized in the world of guitar virtuoso equal to the ground, This may be a primitive nationalism or complete ignorance.
